Allison and James had to be one of our cutest couples ever. Their wedding had so many beautiful and unique touches , with details we were just drooling over, but nothing compared to the way these two made each other laugh.
The day started with us entering the bridal suite to quite a party , greeted by Rose Wine and Snoop Dog on the radio. Allison's dress hung perfectly in the window, as she had her makeup final touches done, her hands folded neatly in her lap with her grandmothers beautiful ring on her hand as her something blue.
When we arrived at the church we sought out the groom James where fun fact, unbeknownst to us, James has an identical twin named Jeff. Of course we were incredibly confused and had a good laugh when Allison and James were supposed to share a moment holding hands around a corner (so that he couldn't see her) while they exchanged vows. James + Jeff switched places and Jeff reached for her hand. But unlike us, Allison couldn't be fooled. She knew instantly it wasn't her man.
After the ceremony we joined the newlyweds and their bridal party at Hotel Albuquerque for photos where we got to truly witness just how in love these two were. We never had to really tell them to kiss, or ask them to laugh or cuddle, we just stood back and captured their affection for one another.
Allison and James made sure to make their day about the things they loved. That included James favorite food, dumplings, and of course a donut bar from Rebel Donuts. Their cake was made by a close friend and their signs were all hand lettered by one of Allison’s bridesmaids. It was also important that they had fun and kept things interesting. Instead of toasting with champagne, they raised their root beer floats to a remix of Despacito, sung by a bridesmaid. They chose A+W floats because of their last names, Anderson and Wenzel.
As if the floats weren’t fun enough, Allison and her father had the funniest daddy daughter dance of the year, which included actual tequila shots. And when James went for the garter, he instead found streamers, a feather boa, a football, and a tiara first.
The night finished with partying, dancing, and fun had by everyone!
We loved being a part of this day, and we wish them a beautiful time on their New Zealand Honeymoon. Congrats Allison and James!!
