A Timeless Spring Los Poblanos Farm Wedding | Albuquerque Wedding Photography

Rachel + Paul | A Timeless Los Poblanos Farm Wedding | Albuquerque Wedding Photography

Rachel and Paul met completely by chance, and they almost didn't at all. Neither were in the partying mood, Rachel was in crutches but her friend forced her to go out, and Paul's friends needed a designated driver. While at this party they struck up a conversation. Turns out they had a lot more in common than they thought they would. Rachel is an ICU nurse, and Paul is in his residency to be an orthopedic trauma surgeon.
It was Paul's first day in New Mexico and after meeting Rachel, he realized he really was fond of this new state he lived in.
Fast forward to today and these two are tying the knot! They planned the most beautiful wedding at Los Poblanos Farm. Since it was spring, the farm was just boasting awe-inspiring spring foliage. Flowers surrounded the long treelined drive and roses bloomed in every nook and cranny with irises that grew up past your hip! Since Paul’s entire side was from out of town he really wanted to be able to attend their cocktail hour so he could visit with all of his family and friends he hadn’t seen in so long. Fine by us! We love when our couple’s opt for a first look. Not only did it get rid of their jitters and allow them to spend so much more time together, we were able to take photos all over the venue. From the signature pink wall our couples love so much, to the iconic white doors outside of the library. Rachel chose a beautiful dusty rose for her bridesmaids to wear that matched the men’s pink ties perfectly. They held bouquets of eucalyptus and roses with pops of burgundy and had their hair swept back in braids with babies breath. Perhaps our favorite detail was the tie clip that Rachel gave Paul to wear near his heart with a little love quote from her and their wedding date. Photographing weddings at Los Poblanos will never get old, but we continue to be blessed with couples like Rachel and Paul and this truly is the best part of our job. Not only is this sweet duo incredibly good looking;-)… but they are also smart, generous and kind and just a joy to be around.
We consider ourselves lucky to know them and were so honored to capture their day. We wish you both the very best!
