Makenzie and Clark | An Elegant Affair at La Posada Santa Fe

Makenzie and Clark's wedding was destined to be beautiful from the day he proposed. While on a trip to Cabo Mexico, Clark proposed on his birthday. Of course Makenzie said yes, and they started planning their dream wedding right away. The Dallas natives decided a romantic getaway to the land of enchantment would be perfect for the  big day. They settled on the beautiful La Posada in downtown Santa fe in order to have their ceremony outdoors. 
Makenzie wanted her wedding to be elegant and timeless with some Santa Fe Charm. The two exchanged their vows under a chiffon draped arch, complete with greenery, roses, hydrangeas and peonies to match the bridal parties bouquets and boutonnieres. The soft whites and blush toned flowers were the perfect pop against the bridal party 's outfits. The bridesmaids wore navy blue silhouette dresses  to match the groomsmen's navy tuxes. 

Makenzie made her way down the aisle toward her teary eyed soon-to-be husband.  As they exchanged vows , a storm in the distance drew near.

After the ceremony, the newly weds joined their guests under a twinkle light tent for the reception as rain drummed lightly on the roof. The tent was decorated with chandeliers and  beautiful lights and the tables were set with gold chargers,  candles and  large floral centerpieces. After grabbing a drink at the light up bar, guest found their seat assignments against a hedge wall with a hand lettered seating chart. It was a huge hit for the evening. Almost as huge a hit as Clark's golf themed wedding cake! 

After a well delivered speech that left everyone crying from Makenzie's father, dinner was served. 

After cutting their wedding cake, the party really got started! With an amazing band, the dance floor stayed packed all night. Congratulations Makenzie + Clark!
