Kenzie + Alex | A Colorful Southwestern Wedding at Hyatt Tamaya Albuquerque, NM

Kenzie + Alex | A Colorful Southwestern Wedding at Hyatt Tamaya

Kenzie and Alex met when they we're 13, and Kenzie had a crush. Even though nothing happened in high school, they reconnected after college while living in Arizona. Not long after they reconnected, they spent the fourth of July together, and the fireworks weren't the only sparks flying that night. Kenzie's younger sister had graduated college, and Kenzie was desperate to get to the restaurant to see all the family who had come into town to celebrate. But when she got there, she was greeted with an even bigger surprise; Alex and a proposal.

Kenzie was finishing medical school while they were engaged, but her busy schedule didn't stop her from dreaming up the perfect wedding. And knowing that this was his big day too, Alex spent a lot of time contacting vendors, coordinating things, and overall executing Kenzie's dream day to perfection, winning the award for most involved and helpful groom. The couple went for a southwestern and boho theme, while drawing inspiration from our beautiful state. They served cactus shaped biscochitos and handed out coffee grounds from local Pinion Coffee Company. The bridal party all wore turquoise jewelry, and Kenzie's bouquet donned vibrant cacti and desert blooms. The tables were decorated with Mexican blankets, each table vibrant and colorful while Pueblo dancers preformed at cocktail hour.

All of Kenzie's siblings and their children were in the bridal party, with the largest group of flower children we've ever seen. We lost count, but it's up there with Harry and Meagan's Royal Wedding. Kenzie and Alex's wedding was festive, fun, and an absolute honor to capture. We can't say congrats enough!
