Here is Christyn and Jon's charming engagement session! We originally planned to shoot at Sandia Lakes however since they closed at 5:00 we were promptly kicked out. Trying to decide where to go we drove down the road and saw the most beautiful field and after deciding this was the most perfect spot we weren't going to let a little barbed wire fence stop us! The results were nothing short of an ethereal and romantic shoot with the richest of colors. Congrats Jon and Christyn! I am so looking forward to your lovely wedding next May!

Kayla's One Year Photos | Cake Smash
Little Kayla turned one! I just love doing cake smash photo shoots. The little ones enjoy it so much and it makes for such great photos as they are wrapped up in eating their cake and not worrying about the stranger with the camera. Kayla however had no problem smiling for the camera with her parents. Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Nicole and Philip | Engagement Session | Albuquerque Botanical Gardens
I am so excited to share Nicole and Philips engagement pictures from last week. We originally had planned to shoot at Casa Rondena but due to some unforeseen circumstances, we had to move our shoot over to the Botanical Gardens. Nicole was glad we did because the flowers were still colorful and in bloom and the leaves surrounding the pond were just starting to change. Everything was full of life and utterly awe-inspiring!

Maureen and Clay | Engagement Session | Hotel Parq Central
Maureen and Clay wanted to do their engagement pictures somewhere unique and memorable. What better place than Hotel Parq Central with its rich and haunting history? This beautifully restored hotel in downtown Albuquerque, used to be a psychiatric hospital which became abandoned and according to some, remains haunted by the spirits that once roamed the halls. The architecture is ornate and the decor has a beautiful vintage appeal making it the perfect choice for these sweet lovebirds. Maureen and Clay's wedding will be this October 31st on Halloween in the historic downtown Santa Fe area off Canyon road. Should be spooktacular.. stay tuned...

Montoya Family Session in Santa Fe, New Mexico
Santa fe looks absolutely breathtaking in the beginning of October when the Aspens just begin to bow their head to summer. In the Sangre De Cristo Mountains it isn't just the trees that begin to change, but all of the vines growing on the ground and bushes climbing the forrest walls. There is nothing like it and I am so happy the Montoya family wanted to do their family portraits deep into the forrest. We climbed the twisting Hyde Park Road all the way to the Big Tesuque Campground with their little ones Gracie and Faith in tow. We didn't have to hike too far into the woods to find the most perfect spot for family pictures and the results were amazing!
